Driving directions: From Innsbruck Airport, follow signs to the A12(E60) motorway towards Salzburg. Turn off at junction 17 Wörgl Ost. Follow B178 Loferer Bundestrasse for 11 kilometers and follow the signs to St Johann in Tirol. After passing the village of Söll, drive another 8 kilometers and then turn left to Scheffau village. The Hotel Kaiser in Tirol is 500meters up the hill on the left hand side
Munich Franz Josef Strauss airport (MUC): Approximate driving time is 1 hours 20 minutes and distance is 160 kilometers (99 miles).
Commuter trains and buses connect the airport with Munich city center. Taxis are readily available outside the terminal.
Driving directions: From Münich Airport, take the A9 (E45) towards Salzburg. Turn off for A99 towards Salzburg and Innsbruck. Turn off onto the A8 for the next 44 kilometers and then turn off onto the A93 towards Innsbruck, Kufstein and Brenner. Stay on this motorway into Austria then after approx 16 kilometers turn off at junction 17, Wörgl Ost. Follow B178, Loferer Bundestrasse, for 11kilometers and follow the signs to St Johann in Tirol. After passing the village of Söll drive another 8 kilometers then turn left to Scheffau village. The Hotel Kaiser in Tirol is 500 meters up the hill on the left hand side.
Salzburg Airport (SZG): Approximate driving time is 90 minutes and distance is 86 kilometers (53.5 miles).
Driving directions: Turn left out of the airport and head in the direction of Bad Reichenhall/Lofer. Pass through the 'German Corner', remaining on the main trunk route continuing towards Lofer. At the Lofer exit continue on the main trunk route (B178) passing through Waidring, Erpfendorf, St. Johann in Tirol. At the St. Johann junction, continue towards Innsbruck. After about 17 kilometres turn right, where Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser is signposted.
